Getting to grips with a dry suit - and getting used to it in the water: next step will be in open water probably early December.
It was a very productive evening for all concerned.
Can only post 2 photos in a blog - so it seems - others have been sent via the Club WhatsApp link
So we had a really good day at Stoney yesterday (Sat 2/12) where the weather was "brisk" at -1C and water probably 8C, but with good viz. Ant, Daniel and Colin all did 2 dives and gained valuable experience in the associated skills of diving safely in a dry suit - they are now qualified as such - so very well done each of you. And for turning out in such cold weather - has to be said that once we were submerged it was perfectly OK. Video is Colin alongside the Defiant at 20m.
My sincere thanks - and I know the students echo this - to the instructors who turned out with me to help: Paul Young, and our Chairman Nicholas: and Anna Partin also came along to join and offer moral support!
