MK Blue Lagoon 27th July 2025

The Blue Lagoon https://mksac.co.uk/blue-lagoon-diving/ for a change?

We can visit on Sunday 27th July from 10:30 - 13:30.  Facilities are limited (actually, pretty much non-existant!), as there are no changing or toilets other than provided by nature.  They have an O2 kit available but ask that we can be as independant as possible, sorting out our own surface cover etc.  Anyone diving would need to pay £5 for a day membership. Reply here or in the WhatsApp poll if you're interested.

Swanage 2025

Would anyone be interested in a short trip to Swanage? I'm thinking of a single night stay, with dives over 2 days. We could book on to some of these organised boats

https://www.diversdownswanage.co.uk/default.aspx

and/or independantly dive the pier. https://divernet.com/world-dives/above-18m-the-swanage-pier-dive

Possible agenda could be travel down Saturday morning, dive the Pier in the afternoon then two boat dives Sunday morning before travelling back later that day.

Accommodation could be YHA or there are many B&B's etc.

Dates TBD but Aug/Sept avoiding existing trips.

This trip followed an unfortunate theme for this year and had to be cancelled due to to bad weather 😢

Potential Trip Abroad in 2026

Would you be interested in a club trip abroad next year? Likely destinations would be Eygpt, Canaries or Europe but as yet undecided. At the moment, this is just to get an idea of the interest level for such a trip, then we can sort out dates and locations. Feel free to add any thoughts or suggestions below

During an impromptu meeting at Weatherspoons last evening Leigh-Ann, John and Anna agreed to be the Dive Manager for a day each for the trip: Leigh-Ann the Saturday, John the Sunday and Anna the Monday; which I am more than happy about.

So all trip divers please help them with any information, certification, or other details they may ask you for. Please also make sure to take your BSAC dive certification records and/or BSAC card with you as skipper Danny may well wish to see them. Finally, these are the overarching guidelines for all of us to follow during the trip:

To comply with 'Safe Diving' and with the instructions given by the appointed Dive Manager of the day.

To report to the Dive Manager any departures from ”Safe Diving” whether planned or unplanned.

To be aware that ”Safe Diving” and DO or Dive Manager’s instructions are designed to minimise risk and maximise safety of the diver and others.

Deliberate contravention may result in the DO taking action to protect BSAC members and other divers.

I'm sure you are all looking forward to the diving - so have fun and dive within these guidelines.

Best regds

Jon
