BSAC Medical Declaration changes in 2025
Hi Jonathan,
As part of our progress on the new BSAC AMS, we have identified an area of improvement regarding the members' medical declarations. We realise this is a crucial piece of information required by clubs and have struggled to support this in the past with the current systems.
The new AMS will be able to store medical information accurately and, more importantly, in a much simpler way.
These are the key points we are looking to deliver:
Club
The club will have more visibility when it comes to monitoring their members' medical status and expiry dates.
A Branch Officer will be able to run a report to list the members whose medicals have expired.
If you have a club trip and need to just check the medical status of a couple of members, you will be able to add multiple membership numbers to a search box and click 'submit' to bring up a report.
The club will be able to see the expiry date of the medical referee form as well as the self-declaration form for each member.
Member
A member will be able to upload their medical referee form to their MyBSAC account.
A member will still be prompted every 12 months to complete the self-declaration medical form.
The medical referee expiry date will be recorded on their records.
We will continue to keep you updated about the AMS journey.
